Chang Wen Chen,Family Practice Physician Knoxville TN

Born and raised in Cincinnati, Ohio, Elizabeth Startup danced professionally with the Cincinnati Ballet before obtaining an undergraduate degree in Behavioral Neuroscience from Yale University. She then attended nursing school at Vanderbilt University and was inducted in Sigma Theta Tau National Honor Society, graduating with a master’s degree in nursing in 2012.

 

She became certified as a Family Nurse Practitioner through the American Academy of Nurse Practitioners. In 2013, she moved to the Knoxville area and joined Concord Family Practice. In her role as a nurse practitioner, Elizabeth aims to build open and trusting relationships with her patients, empowering them to take an active role in their health care decisions, and encouraging them to make lifestyle changes to prevent or lessen the effects of chronic disease and illness. When she is not at work, you can find her spending time with her husband, practicing yoga, working in her garden, spinning and knitting yarn, and tending to her flock of sheep, chickens, and ‘Banjo’ the llama.
